Benfeita is a place of passage to Fraga da Pena and Mata da Margaraça, as well as to the Historical Village of Piódão.
The River Beach of
Benfeita is located in the Aldeia do Xisto of Benfeita, where the streams of Mata and Carcavão join. The river beach was the target of an intervention program that provided the creation of a bathing area and a multi-sports area on the left bank of the Ribeira de Benfeita. It is a fluvial zone that meets conditions for the practice of bathing activity.
It consists of a weir that has created a "mirror of water" at the bottom, and whose banks are made up of a sand that allows bathers to stay by the water.
The privileged location of Aldeia de Benfeita, as it is a place of passage to Fraga da Pena and Mata da Margaraça, as well as to the Historical Village of Piódão, gives to the River Beach of Benfeita unique characteristics for attracting more visitors to this region of the municipality of Arganil.
