A green environment full of freshness. 
The River Beach of Alvoco das Várzeas, with its crystal-clear water, is surrounded by a picnic area with leafy trees that provide a green and refreshing atmosphere. It is located in a valley on the banks of the Alvoco stream (which originates in the Serra da Estrela, near Alvoco da Serra), next to a beautiful medieval bridge, offering a magnificent view of the Serra da Estrela. This beach offers ideal conditions for water sports.

This is a certified Accessible Beach, featuring an amphibious wheelchair and information available in braille.

To explore the whole area, you can follow the Schist Trails, walking routes of the Schist Villages.

    De Coimbra: pelo IP3 (direcção Guarda / Viseu), IC6, saída Oliveira do Hospital / Guarda (EN130), chegando a Venda de Galizes corte à direita direcção Ponte das Três Entradas (EN 230), sai na “saída” da esquerda, direcção a Alvoco das Várzeas. De Oliveira do Hospital seguir em direcção a Penalva do Alva, Santo António do Alva e Ponte das Três Entradas. Apanhar a N230 em direcção a Alvoco das Várzeas. Dentro da aldeia virar na placa à direita que indica a praia fluvial.
