The villages of Maxial and Pombas will host the “Route of Two Charms” walking tour on April 6, following the PR7 trail. The event will be led by José Pais, a forestry engineer, forest bathing guide, and expert in mycology and wild gastronomy.
As part of the “A Dois Passos do Paraíso” (Two Steps from Paradise) Hiking Festival, this tour is organized by the Maxial and Maxialinho Recreational, Cultural, and Sports Association (ARCD) and the ARCD of Pombas.
The walking route covers approximately 8 kilometers and has a moderate difficulty level. Participants should gather at 8:30 AM at the Pombas association. From there, a bus will take them to the headquarters of the Maxial and Maxialinho association, where the hike begins. After a refreshment break at Ponte das Portelinhas, the walk continues until it concludes at the Pombas association, where lunch will be served.
Participation is limited to 150 registrations. The cost is €10 per person. Children up to 5 years old can join for free, while those aged 6 to 10 pay €5. The fee includes a snack, lunch, and personal accident insurance. Comfortable clothing and footwear are recommended.
