The Aldeias do Xisto promote the relationship between traditional know-how and scientific, technical and artistic knowledge. Project@X, a collaboration between the Aldeias do Xisto and the DeCA-UA - Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro, emerged from this ethos. In 2021, the students were challenged to address the theme of Dark Sky Aldeias do Xisto, which introduced a strategy that goes beyond merely observing the sky and instead becomes a strategic commitment that aligns touristic development with social and environmental sustainability. 

The work developed is currently on display in the "By the Light of the Stars” exhibition, integrated in the schedule of the  "By the Light of the Stars” Weekend. The inauguration took place in the Aldeia do Xisto of Fajão on June 25th, at 10pm. The exhibition by 2nd year Design students can be visited until 24 September, in the Largo da Igreja de Fajão.
