This August, the Municipality of Proença-a-Nova invites both locals and visitors to rediscover the magic of cinema on warm summer nights under the stars. The Outdoor Cinema cycle will travel through three of the municipality’s river beach areas with screenings of the film “The Clown Within Us”, a Black Castle Production, promoted by Mário Faísca.
This open-air cultural initiative blends nature and art in a relaxed setting, with free admission, bringing cultural experiences to rural areas and celebrating the region’s exceptional natural landscapes.

The Clown Within Us invites both laughter and reflection through a visual language inspired by clowning and poetic comedy. It is an emotional and symbolic journey that explores the most human and vulnerable side of each of us — through the figure of the clown, a sensitive mirror of the human condition.
This film cycle is an initiative of the Municipality of Proença-a-Nova, which remains committed to cultural decentralization by turning its natural landscapes into spaces for connection, creativity, and shared experience.
