Three years later, the Lousã Granfondo is back for its 4th edition. The race will take place on the weekend of 13 and 14 September, weeks after the fires that affected the region, but maintaining the goal of showing that the Serra da Lousã, part of the Aldeias do Xisto (Schist Villages), is still very much alive.
There are already 1,240 athletes registered, close to the limit of 1,300 participants, representing 22 nationalities.
Saturday, 13th, will be dedicated to Granfondinho, aimed at younger people, with a fun and free character. On Sunday, the 14th, the three main distances will take place — Minifondo (71 km), Mediofondo (101 km) and Granfondo (135 km) — all starting from the Lousã Municipal Exhibition Park and passing through the iconic Terreiro das Bruxas climb.
On the day of the race, there will also be a charity walk, with proceeds going to a local institution to be announced.
Whether walking or cycling, come and discover the Serra da Lousã. Plan your stay now and make your reservation at bookinxisto.com
