The Licor Beirão Avalanche has returned to Lousã, from the 1 to 3 November, covering about 13 kilometres of roads and singletracks, between Trevim, at an altitude of 1,200 metres, and the town centre of Lousã.
This is one of the most important mountain bike races and one of the largest collective descents on the Iberian Peninsula, involving events such as Downhill, Endurance and XC. Avalanche Licor Beirão is part of the Cyclin' Portugal project, which awards the Aldeias do Xisto the status of being a primary destination of excellence in the country to host cycling, since it combines quality infrastructure, competitive and leisure events and tourist programmes and services.

- 09am - 7pm: Office
- 9am - 4.30pm: Transport departure for training
Sunday
- 08am - 09am: Transport departure for training
- 08am - 10am: Office schedule
- 11am - 1pm: Transport departures for the Licor Beirão Avalanche
- 12pm: Closure of the route.
- 1pm: Last transport to the departure area
- 1pm: Preparing the starting grid
- 2pm: Start E-Bikes
- 2.30pm: Official start
- 4.30pm: Award Ceremony
Registration can be carried out here and this costs €20 for federated athletes and €25 for non-federated athletes with insurance.
The top 50 finishers from last year are guaranteed an departure position, but registration and payment is required and is obligatory. The top 15 finishers from last year and the Ladies and Kids classes do not need to pay.
The starting line up is by order of registration and sending the respective proof of payment and is given simultaneously to all athletes, with the winner being the athlete that crosses the finish line first.
