Preparation is the key factor concerning this Epic Climb to Colcurinho. It is 18 kilometres that challenge the dexterity, endurance and willpower of the participants. No not miss out on this nature walk, which rewards you with stunning scenery and a fantastic day out. The ascent is sponsored by Cândido Barbosa.
Registration is free and is compulsory. There are souvenirs for the first 100 registrants.

The Bike Road Epic Climb up Ponte das Três Entradas - Alto do Colcurinho is the first of its kind in Portugal. It starts at the charismatic Ponte das Três Entradas and ends near the chapel at the top of Colcurinho, with relatively gentle slopes (between 4% and 6%). On arrival at the top, the view offering one of the best panoramic views over Serra da Estrela and Piódão is ample reward for all the effort made.
Bike Roads - Epic Climbs
The Aldeias do Xisto are once again pioneering the introduction of innovative initiatives associated with cycling and mountain biking in Portugal - this will be the first region to receive the work of the Bike Roads project, with its structuring of the first circuits, but also through the launch of the first five Epic Climbs. The following routes are planned to be launched:
- Ponte das Três Entradas - Alto do Colcurinho
- Lousã - Trevim
- Castanheira de Pêra - Trevim
- Fundão - Gardunha (Casa do Guarda)
- Porto de Vacas - Alto de Unhais (via the Panasqueira Mines)
