Throughout the year, on the third Saturday (winter time) or Sunday (summer time) of each month, a climbing event is organised at the Miradouro do Zebro, Estreito parish, in the municipality of Oleiros. 

Those interested can try one of the 32 climbing routes, to which we can add another 15 routes on the Zebro’s crest, as well as a fully equipped via ferrata, which cover the emblematic 888m quartzite ridge, situated in the heart of the Muradal Mountains, a site valuable for its geological and biological diversity.

The climbs are free and run from 9am to 1pm (summer time) and from 2pm to 5pm (winter time), with technical monitoring, and are accessible to all levels of expertise.

The initiative reinforces the investment in the sport and the promotion of one of the main points of interest of the International Appalachian Trail in Portuguese soil. It is also a unique opportunity to climb amongst fossils, and experience the stunning views.
