The Ceramics and Nature Course at Cerdeira - Home For Creativity is an approach to ceramics through the five senses: a week of immersion in nature, creativity and silence characterize this course.

Observing and following our impulses, attracted by the most incredible details that nature offers us, awakens our creativity, our natural sense of harmony and aesthetics. Free of preconceptions and expectations, we create our ceramic pieces, being part of nature.

Walking through the mountains we search not only for inspiration, but also textures, tools and materials. Back in the studio we will investigate and test to select the raw material for the ceramic objects we want to create.

In the Ceramics and Nature Course we will learn to look further afield to learn about the characteristics of our raw materials, nature and throughout the ceramic process until firing during the ceramic classes.

Participants have the opportunity to create their own collection of ceramic objects inspired by the learning and days of immersion in nature.
