"The Sun and Other Stars - Seeing and Understanding the Universe" is the title of the four workshops organized by Clube de Astronomia do Alva at the Geoscope - Astronomical Observatory of Fajão, in the municipality of Pampilhosa da Serra.
The sessions will take place on July 20 and 27 and September 7 and 14, with the following schedule:
July 20
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Solar Observation through a Telescope
- 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM: Starlight Journey (with telescope observation)

USEFUL INFORMATION
Solar Observation through a Telescope
- This activity lasts for 2 hours in an open field (without shade), so it is advisable to use sunscreen, wear appropriate clothing for the temperature, and bring a hat/cap, water, and snacks.
- Transportation to the Dome must be arranged by the participants themselves.
Starlight Journey
- This activity lasts for 2 hours in an open field.
- The temperature at the site can drop considerably, so it is recommended to bring a warm jacket.
- Transportation to the Dome is provided by bus. Access roads to the site will be closed, and no vehicles will be allowed to circulate during the activity.
