The preparation for the 10th edition of Geotour Aldeias do Xisto is already underway. The race, which is already a reference in the national cycling calendar, takes place from February 24 to 26, 2023, exploring the trails that involve Fundão, Gardunha Mountain and Zêzere River.

The prologue takes place on February 24th and consists of a time trial with a length of about 6kms with a positive accumulated of 300 meters. This stage has to be carried out with natural light, so it will take place on Friday afternoon, probably between 16:00 and 18:30. For this reason, it is not mandatory, but athletes who do not participate will have a 4-minute penalty.

Stage 1, scheduled for February 25, starts in Fundão and takes participants through the mines in Argemela, Cabeço do Pião, Aldeia de São Francisco de Assis and Minas da Recheira. The visit to Minas da Recheira is precisely the great novelty of this edition of the Geotour, with a trail and a place being prepared that, the organization guarantees, will be eternalized in the memory of all participants. This circular stage travels, in total, between 75 to 90 kms, with a positive accumulated of 2100 to 2500 meters.

Serra da Gardunha is the scenario chosen for the last leg of the Geotour. After leaving Fundão, the participants visit the Mountain Villages of Alcaide, capital of Míscaro, and Alcongosta, capital of cherry. In total, between 60 and 75 km are traveled, with a positive accumulated value from 1900 to 2100.
