The Montanha Club is a reference in Portugal in the organisation of sporting events. It's a non-profit club that was founded in 1990 by João Bandeira, João Lopes, and Pedro Barradas, all of them sharing a passion for off-road motorbikes.

With the Serra da Lousã mountain as its "sports facility", the Montanha Club offers a wide range of thrills to all who participate, promoting sport in contact with nature.

Events such as the downhill championships, the Avalache Licor Beirão, the Louzantrail, walks, and rides have brought thousands of people to Lousã, making people aware of the customs, traditions, and gastronomy of the people of Lousã, thus making a significant contribution to local tourism.
