Localizada na Aldeia do Xisto da Pena, no concelho de Góis, a Casa do Neveiro foi reconstruída em 2008 sendo uma das primeiras do país a ser certificada pelo Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas como “Turismo de Natureza”.
Located at Aldeia do Xisto of Pena, this two-storey house was reconstructed with schist and river pebbles, preserving its identity and characteristics in harmony with typical houses in this mountain region. Among Casa de Neveiro’s most striking features is the fact that it sits on several stones of considering dimensions, and its exceptional harmonisation with nature, with the Penedos de Góis as a backdrop.
The modern and simple interior decoration provides a harmonious contrast with the building’s rustic features.
